The name Atelier comes from the French tradition of the workshop, a place where skilled practitioners work with care, judgement and precision, shaping solutions deliberately rather than producing them to a template. That philosophy sits at the heart of everything we do.
We believe legal, governance and compliance work is most effective when it is integrated, contextual and thoughtfully crafted. Good governance is not a layer of administration added on top of an organisation—it is a practical framework that supports confident decision‑making, accountability and long‑term success.
The Atelier Legal Governance Compliance was founded on more than two decades of experience in corporate law, governance and advisory practice. Its Founder and Managing Director, Jacqueline Nicholls‑Jungmann, established the practice to offer organisations a considered alternative to the need for permanent legal and governance employees - offering legal, governance and compliance judgement together in an in‑house‑style advisory role.
We support organisations, executives, leadership teams, directors, boards and committees. Our work focuses on helping leaders make clear decisions, strengthen governance and compliance frameworks, and embed good practice in a way that is proportionate, purposeful and fit for the organisation’s context.
Our advice is calm, practical and grounded in how organisations actually operate. We focus on what genuinely matters for statutory compliance, public confidence, effective leadership and sustainable performance, without unnecessary complexity or administrative burden.
The Atelier Legal Governance Compliance operates from the historic Roxburgh House at 162 Elizabeth Street, Hobart, but offers services Australia-wide.
